Huntingdon Primary School needed a shading solution to reduce glare, but still enable a view to outside the classroom. We installed our College Blinds and Kampus Blinds with glare control mesh fabric. Glare control fabric allows full control of light and glare, whilst still allowing at outside view.

Shading solution to reduce glare

This works extremely well in classrooms and offices as light is reduced to a level where it is possible to view computer screens, white boards, smart boards and projector screens without eye strain. All the while, allowing enough light to work in, without needing artificial lighting.

Glare control fabric offers a more attractive working environment as it still allows a view to the outside world, whereas regular or black out blinds wouldn’t.

Good lighting is essential in schools and an effective classroom lighting scheme will make use of any natural light that is available. Natural light can provide physical and physiological benefits to students, teachers and administrators. It is also shown to benefit the health, concentration and even test scores of pupils!

Fresh air is also very important in classrooms. Another benefit of these blinds is air movement; ventilation can still pass through the fabric when windows are open behind, giving the feel of having open blinds.
