Newnham College, founded is 1871, is the oldest College run for women with an all-female Fellowship. Situated in the middle of the University of Cambridge, Newnham College was the second Cambridge college to admit women.

Newham’s latest accomplishment is the Dorothy Garrod Building, creating a new façade and entrance to the College along Sidgwick Avenue. This addition combines teaching, research, conference and social space downstairs, with outstanding student accommodation on the upper two floors, all topped by a roof garden with a glass gym and meeting space.

The Dorothy Garrod Building is a wonderful addition to the chain of buildings that encircle the Newnham College Gardens, complementing both old and new architecture.

Over the past few months, InterLace have been privileged to complete a full fit-out of Silent Gliss tracks, Kvadrat curtains, Kvadrat sheers and Silent Gliss roller blinds in time for the 2018-2019 school year. One of the neater features of this project were both dim-out and black-out fabrics hung on the same track, giving ultimate versatility to the user. The Silent Gliss Wave meant that this could be accomplished with a minimal stacking depth.
